Hey, I'm Ana
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat based in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Portugal wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many international moves, it started as a work chance and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Daily tasks felt more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, regular habits emerged. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began crafting something that felt steady.
Why I Built Haze Trance Mint
Most online guidance was either corporate relocation advice or surface-level tourist information. What was missing was an honest, everyday family point of view.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Portugal.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Practical knowledge gained from living in Portugal
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something truly changes
This site isn't:
- An official tourism-authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Portugal continues, and the learning journey goes on. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Lisbon or anywhere in Portugal, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Cheers,
Ana
